Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect on my first visit?
Your first visit is focused on getting a complete understanding of your health and what’s going on with your body. It begins with a thorough health history, followed by a comprehensive exam that includes checking your vitals as well as orthopedic and neurological testing. This initial appointment typically lasts about 45 minutes and is designed to gather accurate, meaningful information, not rush you through care. If needed, you may be referred for X-rays at a trusted local imaging facility before your second visit.
The doctor does not perform adjustments until X-rays have been reviewed, ensuring your care plan is safe and appropriate for your specific situation. If the doctor feels it’s safe and beneficial, and there’s no risk to you, gentle care may be provided to offer immediate relief, but only when clinically appropriate.
On your second visit, you’ll receive a complete report of findings. This includes a clear review of your exam results, X-rays, relevant anatomy, and how chiropractic philosophy applies to your condition. You’ll leave with a full understanding of what was found, what it means for your health, and how care will move forward so there are no surprises and no unanswered questions.

What insurance do you take?
This clinic participates in several insurance programs such as Blue Cross Blue Shield and Tufts, but we also take patients who have no insurance and prefer to pay per session. Some insurances will allow you to go out of network; call the office and we'd be happy to help you figure out if you can. As well, if insurance coverage is exhausted, we're proud to offer flexible pre-paid packages of 6o r 12-visit options to make continued care more affordable.
Will I have to receive chiropractic care forever?
No, you don’t have to receive chiropractic care forever, but many patients choose to continue because they experience the long-term benefits.
The doctor often compares chiropractic care to preventive dentistry: you don’t wait until you have a cavity to see the dentist. You go regularly to maintain your oral health.
Chiropractic works the same way for your spine and nervous system!
The initial goal is to help get you out of pain and restore normal function. Once that’s achieved, many patients transition into a wellness phase of care. Ongoing chiropractic care can help maintain mobility, support overall function, and may help minimize or slow the progression of issues like arthritis over time.
